Armstrong of Properties Northeast Brokers 3 Leases at Gateway Shoppes

Three new new tenants have opened their doors at the Gateway Shoppes. All have been drawn to the Gateway by the proven ability of Cabela’s “World Famous Outfitter” store to pull shoppers to the area and by the close proximity of Maine Tpke. Exit 42.

Famous Dave’s Barbeque, with over 250 restaurants nationwide, has opened its first franchise in Maine at the Gateway Shoppes. The 6,200 s/f facility includes a full service restaurant, a bar area, an outdoor patio, and a separate entrance for take-out customers. Located on the corner of Payne Rd., Exit 42 and Haigis Pkwy., Famous Dave’s has been meeting with great success as evidenced by the number of cars in its parking lot during meal times, even in the pre-summer season.

Cricket and Company opened its 1,800 s/f shop over Memorial Day weekend. The store specializes in antiques, gifts, home décor, jewelry and rare finds. Brenda Chapman, the owner, has extensive experience in the field and plans on bringing many Maine made products to market in the store. She plans to market to tourists and to local residents.

Recent occupancies also include a new US Cellular store, owned by B+H Computer, which has recently opened up several new stores in southern Maine. Located right at the entrance to the Gateway, the store benefits from the estimated 4 mil- lion visitors drawn to the Gateway Shoppes annually.

Feldco Development of New Cannan, Conn. is the developer. The broker for the Gateway Shoppes is Anthony Armstrong of Properties Northeast in Portland. Portland. B+H Computer was represented by John Ferris of SRS Real Estate Partners in Boston.
